Abstract :
Breast cancer is one of the most significant public health concerns affecting women globally. Among the available methods of early detection, Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is a simple, cost-effective, and accessible technique that enables women to monitor their breast health regularly. BSE involves a woman palpating her breasts for lumps, changes in shape, or any abnormal discharge, which may be indicative of breast cancer or other breast conditions. The mean post- test knowledge score (25) was greater than the mean pre-test score (14.9). The mean difference between pre-test and post-test score was (10.1). Pared ‘t’ score was 9.73 and it was significant at p<2.045 level. Hence research hypothesis H1 was accepted. This indicates that the STP was effective in increasing the knowledge of nursing students regarding Breast self examination.
