Dr. Niva Goti | Dr. Rajesh Sanja "Urticaria: A Clinical Guide to Presentation, Individualization and Differential Materia Medica" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-10 | Issue-5, October 2026, pp.851-853, URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com/papers/ijtsrd142162.pdf

Urticaria is a frequently encountered skin disorder in which transient wheals appear with or without angioedema. The clinical picture can change rapidly, making careful characterization of the lesions, duration, associated symptoms and provoking circumstances important. This article provides a concise clinical framework for recognizing acute and chronic patterns, documenting important features and considering physical and other triggers. It also presents a traditional homeopathic differential materia-medica table covering 24 medicines described in relation to urticarial, allergic or closely related skin manifestations. The table emphasizes the characteristic eruption and important modalities or associated features rather than ranking medicines. The material is intended for academic materia-medica study; traditional descriptions should be distinguished from contemporary evidence on clinical efficacy and from standard emergency management of angioedema and anaphylaxis.

Urticaria, wheals, hives, angioedema, homeopathy, materia medica, differential diagnosis, clinical features.
