The term "brain paralysis" refers to cerebral palsy which is a disease of motor control caused to a static lesion of the developing brain. It is a disability that impairs movement and posture. The brain injury or aberrant brain growth that takes place before, during, or right after a child's birth results in brain damage. Cerebral palsy affects body movement, muscular control, coordination, tone, reflex, posture, and balance. Only a portion of the brain is hurt, primarily the areas that regulate movement. Once injured, brain tissue does not regenerate or worsen. However, the child’s movements, body positions, and related problems may improve or worsen based on the doctor’s approach and the degree of brain damage. A brain injury that results in a permanent, non-progressive, and occasionally growing disturbance of tone, movement, or posture is known as cerebral palsy. With 2-3 newborns per 1000 live births affected, it is the most widespread chronic motor impairment in children.
