The Ministry of Education introduced the National Education Policy 2020 as a transformative educational framework aimed at improving the quality, accessibility, inclusivity, and relevance of education in India. The middle level stage of schooling, covering students approximately between Classes VI to VIII, occupies a crucial position in learners’ cognitive, emotional, social, and academic development. NEP 2020 emphasizes experiential learning, competency-based education, multilingualism, vocational exposure, digital literacy, and holistic development at the middle school stage. The present qualitative study examines the application of NEP 2020 in middle level school education and analyzes its implications for curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, teacher roles, technology integration, and student development. Secondary data were collected from policy documents, books, educational journals, and academic reports. The findings reveal that effective implementation of NEP 2020 at the middle level can strengthen foundational competencies, creativity, critical thinking, skill development, and inclusive learning practices. The study concludes that successful application of the policy requires teacher training, infrastructural development, technological support, curriculum reforms, and collaborative educational efforts.
